Wow, this year is going fast or so it seems. So much has been happening in the first 60 days of 2015.
Two new buildings are going up at Camp Akiva, a dorm and 14 guest cabins. Stay tuned for photos to come. We plan to be open this summer for those groups that have booked a week to enjoy the camp with various activities available.
We were scheduled to have our first Onward & Upward retreat of 2015 out at Akiva this past weekend. But with the snow and ice, we had to cancel the retreat. We hope to make it up sometime later this year. Here are a few photos from the campground.
As a reminder, we are honored to have Michael Young, formerly a fan favorite of the Texas Rangers as our guest speaker at our Ambassadors of Hope Dinner & Auction on March 28th at the Hurst Conference Center. You can go to ofckids.org and order tables and tickets for the evening. Tickets are going fast, so purchase your tables or tickets soon. It will be a great evening with over 200 silent auction items, 7-10 live auction items, dinner, and of course Michael Young with the latest on the 2015 Texas Rangers.
