Thank you to my counselor

Thank you for not making judgments about me.

Thank you for my picture book.

Thank you for listening to me try to explain things.

Thank you for doing things with me and acting like you really had fun.

Thank you for telling me, “Good job!” and for doing everything you can to

help me get along with the other kids.

Thank you for brushing my hair.

Thank you for treating me with dignity and respect even though I’m young.

This gives me confidence. You care what I think.

Thank you for answering hard questions.

Thank you for letting me cry and maybe even crying with me.

Thank you for praying with me even though it’s hard to settle us down.

I am learning from you.

Thank you for telling me of my beauty, how God made me special.

Thank you for explaining to me that loveliness comes from the inside,

and not from other people.

Thank you for talking to me about what it means to be a man.

Thank you for telling me about what Truth is. I may seem young, but I’m growing fast

and I need all the true information I can get.

I don’t really know how to express any of this…

Thank you for being someone I could trust,

and for showing me the LOVE of a Royal Heavenly Father.”
